Nanobacteria

Nanobacteria

Nanobacteria are the smallest cell-walled organisms on earth. The size of nanobacteria is smaller than the generally accepted lower limit of about 200 nanometers. Some researchers suggest that they are a new class of living organisms capable of incorporating radiolabeled uridine, while other investigators attribute to them a simpler, abiotic nature.
