Nanoengineering
Nanoengineering is that branch of one, which deals with the study and practice of engineering on the nano (very small) scale. It is closely related to nanotechnology which derives its name from the nano (one billionth) metre.
Nanoengineering is an interdisciplinary science that builds biochemical structures smaller than bacterium, which function like microscopic factories. Exciting aspects of nanoengineering are cost-effective, environmentally friendly, non-polluting and requires little energy.
It is widely believed nanotechnology will have a greater impact on the world than the Industrial Revolution and is predicted to be a multi-billion dollar business by 2015.
